Leasing a car through an auto broker in Orange County

A licensed auto broker leases you a car without the dealership circuit. You send the car you want, we ask Orange County stores for the same written numbers, and the selling franchised dealer writes the lease, often with delivery to your door.

What an auto broker does for an Orange County lease

An autobroker is licensed by the California DMV to arrange a purchase or lease on your behalf. We do not own a lot and we do not own the cars. What we own is the legwork: finding the exact car, asking several franchised stores for the same written numbers, and reading the paperwork with you before you sign.

Orange County is unusually dense with franchised dealers. For most brands you are twenty minutes from a store, which is exactly why asking only the closest one is a mistake. The same car can be priced very differently between a store off the 405 and one off the 5, because each store sets its own selling price, its own add ons and its own willingness to deal in a given week.

The lease program itself is not up to the store. The manufacturer finance company sets the money factor, the residual and the incentives for the month, and it approves your credit. What changes store to store is the price of the car and what gets built into it.

How it works, step by step

Six steps, and only one of them involves leaving the house:

  • Text us the model, the trim, the colors you would actually accept, your miles per year and your ZIP code
  • We ask franchised dealers in and around Orange County for the same written numbers on the same car
  • You get the offers in one place: selling price, money factor, residual, fees, add ons, and due at signing broken into pieces
  • You pick one, or you tell us to keep looking. Nothing is committed until you say so
  • Credit goes to the leasing company through the selling dealer, and you see the paperwork before you sign anything
  • Delivery to your home or work, or a short signing appointment with the car already prepared

Cities and delivery in Orange County

Requests reach us from Irvine, Newport Beach, Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach, Tustin, Anaheim, Mission Viejo, Laguna Beach, Laguna Niguel, Santa Ana, Orange, Fullerton, Lake Forest, Aliso Viejo, Yorba Linda, Brea, Fountain Valley, Westminster, Garden Grove, Rancho Santa Margarita, San Clemente and Dana Point. The desk is in Riverside, which is a short run up the 91, and the search covers the whole county plus Los Angeles, San Diego and the Inland Empire when a store there has the right car.

Many Orange County stores will deliver to a home or office. Some will not, and some will only do a short signing appointment at the store. Delivery is the selling dealer's decision, not ours, so we ask on your specific car and tell you the answer before you agree to anything.

If you want a local signing, say so up front. It is often easier to keep a deal inside the county so plates, paperwork and any first service visit stay close to home.

Why use a broker instead of walking into a dealer

At one store you negotiate against the one car and the one program that store has in front of it. With a broker, several stores answer the same question at the same time, in writing, and you read the answers at your kitchen table instead of in a sales office.

You also skip the expensive parts of the day: the walk around you did not need, the long pencil, and the finance office presentation. Add ons arrive as lines you can decline before you ever sit down.

A broker is not automatically cheaper. When a store's own advertised special is already the cleanest number on the car you want, we say so and you go take it. That is the whole point of comparing in writing.

What we cannot do

We cannot promise approval, a rate or a payment before the leasing company reviews your credit and we lock the exact car. Anyone who does is guessing with your time.

We cannot book service, order parts or speak for a dealership's inventory. For those, contact the store directly through its own website.

We do not post sample payments. Programs change monthly, and your ZIP, your miles and your credit tier all change the result. Current deals are on the deals page, and anything else we quote on request.

Green Light Auto Broker is an autobroker. All new cars arranged for sale are subject to price and availability from the selling franchised new car dealer.

Questions

Do you deliver in Orange County?

Often, yes. Many stores deliver to Irvine, Newport Beach, Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach, Tustin, Anaheim, Mission Viejo and the Laguna cities. Delivery is up to the selling dealer, so we ask on your car and tell you plainly when a short signing appointment is the only option.

Is it cheaper to lease through a broker in Orange County?

Sometimes. A broker makes several stores answer the same written question on the same car, which usually beats negotiating one store at a time. No one can promise a specific payment before the dealers respond and your credit is reviewed.

Do I still deal with a dealership if I use a broker?

Yes, for the contract. The lease is written by the selling franchised dealer and funded by the manufacturer finance company. A broker arranges the deal, compares the stores and stays with you through delivery.

Which Orange County cities do you work in?

All of them. Requests come most often from Irvine, Newport Beach, Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach, Tustin, Anaheim, Mission Viejo, Laguna Beach, Laguna Niguel, Santa Ana, Orange, Fullerton, Lake Forest, Aliso Viejo, Yorba Linda, Brea, Fountain Valley, Westminster, Garden Grove, Rancho Santa Margarita, San Clemente and Dana Point.

Can you review a lease quote I already have from an Orange County store?

Yes. Send it over. We read it line by line and tell you what is in it and what is missing, and we only put up an alternative if we can find a cleaner one.

Are you an Orange County car dealership?

No. Green Light Auto Broker is a licensed California autobroker (CA DMV Autobroker License #72394) with its desk in Riverside. We are not a dealership, we do not own the cars, and the selling franchised dealer completes every transaction.
